Clint’s Top 10 Films of 2010: #10 Remember Me

10. Remember Me

I remember getting an Atari for my 10th birthday. That was a big surprise. When I caught the top of those tiny ted joysticks atop of their black spongy controls, I knew my entry into double figure land was going to be one to remember. Wanna know what a bigger surprise was? ”Remember Me”! This truly out Gorfed Gorf and Swallowed Pac Man hole in terms of pleasant surprises – I kid you not. Say what you will about his sparkling work in those vampire pics, Robert Pattinson delivers one of the richest and most weighty performances of any actor this year with his uneasy son and lover at the center of director Allen Coulter’s love letter to 9/11 (yes, there is such a thing). Catch it on DVD – you’ll find it, unjustly, at the ‘bottom’ of the new releases shelf.

E! Online – Who’s the 2010 Celeb of the Year? Vote for Rob and Kristen

Same for Bieber. Despite a strong call for the teen star's reentry, his 4,088 votes (33 percent) were no match for Stewart's 8,500 (67 percent). And last but not least, SkarsgÄrd, though a favorite in the wild card round, just couldn't bring down Pattinson: The True Blood star's 4,199 votes (34 percent) weren't enough against R.Pattz's 8,328 (66 percent).

"Water for Elephants" Makes #2 on Top 10 Scripts of the Year

Scriptshadow chooses the Water for Elephants Script for #2 in the Top 10 Scripts of the Year

Genre: Period Drama/Love Story

Premise: (from IMDB) A veterinary student abandons his studies after his parents are killed and joins a traveling circus as their vet.

You know, this is one of those scripts that shouldn’t have roped me in the way it did. It’s basically a love story. But the great thing about Elephants is that it’s a love story wrapped in a loony dangerous unpredictable package - the Bizarro World version of Titanic. Not to mention it has the best villain I’ve read all year hands down (can’t wait to see what Waltz does with it). You’re not going to read anything like this again for a long time.

The reviewer then mentions Water for Elephants once again:

However I did notice that almost all the scripts had at least one really memorable character, especially the Top 4. The biggest surprises for me were scripts like Water For Elephants, Untitled Chef Project, and Drive, all of which I was reluctant to pick up because the subject matter didn’t interest me. Yet once I opened them, the characters drew me in like a champagne sunset on a 70 degree July night. So work on those characters people. The concept will get your reader past the title page but once they’re there, it’s the characters that will keep them reading.

Best Of 2010: Lovely Little White Dresses

ONE SHOULDER: The one-shoulder look was clearly having a moment on red carpets. Celebs like Selena Gomez and January Jones showed just how flattering the neckline/collarbone-revealing style could be by wearing it with little (if any) jewelry.

January Jones at the 2010 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles on July 14, Kristen Stewart at "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" Premiere in Los Angeles on June 24, Selena Gomez at the Univision Premios Juventud Awards in Miami on July 15.

10 Great Films You Missed in 2010

10. Remember Me

I know, I know, ‘but it’s got that guy with more gunk in his hair than Liz Hurley does in her nether regions’ but c’mon! many-a-good-actor have started out in the cinematic mailroom and graduated to an awe-impressive high-rise suite – just look at Robin ‘Mork’ Williams, Josh ‘Goonies’ Brolin, Tom ‘Bosom Buddies’ Hanks or Stephen ‘Evil Ed’ Geoffries! (Ok, bad example) – ain’t Robert Pattinson innocent until the gavel slams down!? This film, a heartrending relationship drama (it’s both about the rapport between a young couple and also one between a young man and his estranged father) that played to the tick of a 9/11 countdown, proved there’s much more to “Twilight” vamp Robert Pattinson than blank stares, sparkles and tree hopping. Quite simply, Pattinson was an eye-opener in this film. Skeptics need see it.

Wednesday, December 22, 2010 mentions REMEMBER ME in Top 10 of 2010 films

if Remember Me had featured Ryan Gosling instead of Robert Pattinson it would have been correctly hailed as great. But people got far too caught up in the ending and Pattinson’s celebrity to catch that he was really freaking good in this movie. Definitely worth a watch if you you’re a fan of relationship dramas via Twilightish

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart on Forbes List of Highest Grossing Actors of 2010

Robert Pattinson

$749 million

The Twilight films have been perennial earners, so it's no surprise to see Pattinson on this list. He ranks above his costar Kristin Stewart thanks to Remember Me, a weepy romance that earned a healthy $56 million on an estimated budget of $16 million. Pattinson's next film is an adaptation of the bestselling book Water for Elephants.

Kristen Stewart

$698 million

Like her costar Pattinson, Stewart starred in a non-Twilight film this year. It didn't perform very well though. The Runaways brought in only $4.7 million. The final Twilight book, Breaking Dawn, has been divided into two films that are both sure to be big earners. The first hits theaters in November 2011.

Please visit to see who else made the list!
