MTV interviewed David Slade last week they asked...'why he thinks the third film is the favorite'
"I think it had the best story," he said. "And the most action."
That's all well and good, David, but we think you had a little something to do with it, too.
"You know, I did my best," he said with a chuckle. "The director of the film is always the harshest critic of the film. What you do is spend two years or a-year-and-a-half or whatever it is intensely, emotionally working on something. You watch it a thousand times. What you're doing is assembling it together, and then there's a bunch of cracks, and you're closing the gaps in those cracks. And then, what happens in the end, you go, and you start noticing those cracks again. It's the same with any film."
Yes, David clearly is his own worst critic, but he did admit the film had a lot going for it.
"I certainly do believe we had one of the best stories," he said. "'Eclipse' is the fans' favorite book, behind 'Twilight,' the first book. There's so much in terms of backstory and understanding characters. It has a very clear progression to Bella's transformation; not physically but emotionally. That's something that is important. That, along with the fact that we had so many fun backstory moments. We had a Western. We had a 16th century historical piece. We had a '30s period piece, as well as the rest of it."

MTV: The top 12 phrases from Robert and Kristen on the DVD commentary
We can all agree that Robert Pattinson is a rare type? That does not mean you do not love. It's just a freak, that's why we were so excited to hear the DVD commentary that the recorded Eclipse with co-star of the "Twilight Saga" Kristen Stewart. The two were not in the same city in fact they were in different countries: Kristen Rob in LA and Montreal, but a kind of conference call allowed the duo recorded the track of the comments together.
It is clear that the two are good friends, and they spent most of the movie in joking with each other and remembering the shooting.
Above all, however, we have no evidence to prove our theory "Rob is weird." Basically all the DVD commentary. What we saw earlier this week, the difficult things we do for you Crushers-and note the 12 most bizarre (and coincidentally the funniest) comments Robsten. Not surprisingly, most of them from Rob.
Scene: Xavier becomes a vampire.
Rob: Xavier would make a great burger ... it just drips and drips.
Kristen: Ew, that's so disgusting.
Rob: Ok, how can we be serious about this?
Scene: the first kiss in the meadow.
Rob: There are a lot of kissing in this movie. I noticed that when I was seeing, after a while, makes me feel uncomfortable.
Scene: Bella gets into his truck. Edward is waiting for her.
Bella (on film): "You scared me"
Rob (in the commentary): I was trying to (quietly) I thought you might like it (quietly) I'm Batman.
Scene: Bella goes to the house of the wolf pack.
Kristen: It is permissible to have other relationships.
Rob (angrily): Why? No, she is not allowed to have other relationships! If you ever see my girlfriend about these guys with their little shirts and all those abs out and fake tan in the nipples and tattoos ...
Kristen: Edward is a bit more mature than you.
Rob: Mature?
Kristen: Yes.
Rob: Nah.
Kristen: He can handle it.
Scene: Boo Boo Stewart on the screen.
Rob: (voice of Yogi Bear) Boo Boo Hey!
Scene: Scene of the lake.
Rob: Have you ever gone to the bottom of a pool and am looked up?
Kristen: Yeah ...
Rob: Very scary.
Kristen: I think it's really cool.
Rob: (singing softly) Doo Doo Dooooo.
Scene: Lost!
Rob: Look, your wig looks good there.
Kristen: No, it does not.
Rob: Looks like Anne Hathaway's hair.
Scene: Carlisle speaks to the group about the struggle with the neophytes.
Rob: Peter also uses his wig as cereal bowl ... sometimes has some, like Top Remen in her.
Scene: The shop.
Rob: God, he's so bold. A I really do not like Jacob. Look at your tattoo. Ugh.
Kristen: See the cradles, her little head stuck there.
Rob: It seems that these ordinances.
Scene: The fight.
Rob: This is the sequel, Kellan and wolf. That will be a magical relationship in the next.
Rob (later): the hole in my mouth, it looks very black.
Scene: Edward bites the head of Victoria.
Rob: Come, come! Mmmm, delicious. Caramelo.
Scene: The lawn, part two.
Rob: God works half the time Edward?
Kristen: It Matter?
Rob: Does not matter.

MTV wants you to describe Rob's beard!
Robert Pattinson was spotted recently sporting an epically untamed, Joaquin Phoenix-like beard. We're not sure of its purpose—the world's worst disguise (nothing could mask those telltale pretty peepers!), practicing his Brad Pitt impression—but needless to say, we are unimpressed.
Why mar your baby face with a bushy beard, RPattz? Nothing should hide that perfect, strong jawline. It looks out of place on you, too. It's like the makeup department of your latest film got a little crazy in the trailer one morning and spirit gummed a whole bunch of facial hair on your cheeks.

MTV: Spotted: Kristen Stewart And Robert Pattinson Arriving At LAX Together
Every day a multitude of stars wander through the halls of MTV News to talk about their latest projects and goof around with staff members. But sometimes we catch stars elsewhere, and that's why we put together Spotted!, a daily compendium of stars in the wild.
After causing quite a stir when pictures of them reportedly locking lips in Montreal surfaced across the web on Monday, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's relationship basically went from "it's possible" to, "wow, it's on!"
Adding fuel to the (hot, hot) fire, the two "Twilight" stars were Spotted! arriving at LAX together yesterday looking quite casual (or attempting to at least) as a swarm of paparazzi nearly attacked each other (seriously, look at the dude in the navy blue shirt) to get the perfect shot. Well, you know what they say about those who fly together...?? You don't? Well, neither to do we, but if you can think of something clever, put it in the comments section!

Robsten's other ideas for "BEST KISS!"
According to Kristen, Robert had some funny ideas for their acceptance of the "Best Kiss" award at the MTV Movie Awards. Kristen said that Robert wanted to light a match while she was juggling and he was hula hooping, KStew also added that she's glad that they did not do what he wanted and doesn't regret kissing.
'He wanted to light a match while I was juggling and he was hula hooping,' Stewart says of Pattinson's alternate ideas for the MTV Movie Awards. Robert got the idea from his upcoming movie "Water For Elephants." Kristen admitted than she can't barely walk , so it would've been impossible for her to juggle in heels.

Robert Pattinson's MTV Movie Awards Regret: 'I Should've Done A More Coherent Speech'
Robert Pattinson's MTV Movie Awards Regret: 'I Should've Done A More Coherent Speech'
If "New Moon's" sweep of the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, following "Twilight's" sweep of the 2009 Movie Awards, didn't already clue you off, "The Twilight Saga" is kind of a big deal.
This year's Global Superstar award category seemingly was created solely for the cast, who have become the figureheads of this cultural phenomenon over the past two years. Unsurprisingly, the award went to leading man Robert Pattinson.
MTV News caught up with the man better known as RPattz after he received his award, double fisting that Golden Popcorn with his Best Male Actor award. The Movie Awards are a fan-voted (and nominated) affair, so Rob shouldn't have been too surprised that he walked away with both awards, but he still seemed a little flustered at the enormity of it all.
"I should have done a more coherent speech for the Global thing," he said, though for what it's worth he didn't even know he had received two awards when he went up to accept his Best Male win. "It's just so ridiculous. I still don't have any idea what's going on. I just have to keep working to not explode.
It seems so long ago, but it was only two years ago at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards that we first saw Rob and Kristen Stewart walk the Movie Awards red carpet to promote "Twilight." "It's crazy for it to have accelerated so quickly," Rob reflected, looking a little baffled at how far things have come.
Still, that doesn't mean that he isn't completely thankful for everything "The Twilight Saga" has brought him. "I'm incredibly appreciative of every little piece that's come together so I can be living this ridiculous life," he said

Robert Pattinson Had Other Plans For Accepting Best Kiss Award
Robert Pattinson Had Other Plans For Accepting Best Kiss Award
RPattz says he had 'the best ideas' for what to do with Kristen Stewart at the MTV Movie Awards.
"Twilight" fans were amused but frustrated in 2009 when their favorite movie couple, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, shared an appropriately angsty almost-kiss to accept their MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss. As such, the MTV favorites were no doubt hoping for something more satisfying from the are-they-or-aren't-they couple when they accepted their second-straight Golden Popcorn for Best Kiss on Sunday night.
"I had the best ideas last night," Pattinson said, admitting that he'd been brainstorming the night before the show. "And I was telling everyone, 'Listen, just leave it to me, I've got it all under control.' ... I was telling everyone all these ideas. I gave them a whole selection and no one thought they were funny, so then we ended up doing something which didn't work."
When the big moment arrived, Stewart told the audience that their movie kisses are made possible and award-worthy only with the help of "smoke and mirrors." They followed that proclamation not with a short and sweet smooch, but by awkwardly attempting to kiss, bumping noses and hands in weird places, getting close and pulling apart a couple of times.
"We probably shouldn't do this, right?" Kristen said, but finally Pattinson grabbed her and spun her away from the crowd for a quick kiss that was mostly obscured by his body. It would have seemed like too much of a tease if it weren't for Pattinson's blushing smile as he dashed off the stage.
Naturally the moment left many fans scratching their heads, wondering whether the duo had planned their little skit in advance or not.

Who Will Be 2010 MTV Movie Awards' Global Superstar?
MTV just posted an article with the different nominees that are facing each other to win as the GLOBAL SUPERSTAR and the reasons why they should win.
Robert Pattinson
Even if he hadn't stepped into the shoes of Edward Cullen, the dreamy, translucent crush object for millions of teenage girls (and their moms) from the "Twilight" book and film series, Robert Pattinson would still be a star thanks to his turn as Cedric Diggory in two of the "Harry Potter" films. But about a second after he offered his first in a series of longing stares at Kristen Stewart's Bella in the first "Twilight" film, he became an international icon, and hasn't slowed down since that film was released in 2008. Additionally, he immersed himself in several non-"Twilight" roles in films like those in "Little Ashes" and "Remember Me," proving not only that he can open a movie on the strength of his fandom, but take a bite out of a variety of characters, whether or not they're vampires.
Kristen Stewart
After a couple of uncredited and low-key roles in films like "The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas," Kristen Stewart broke into the public consciousness as the daughter of Jodie Foster in David Fincher's terrific 2002 containment thriller "Panic Room." Flash to six years later, she creates her own panic rooms wherever she goes thanks to her unforgettable turn as Bella, the iconic wallflower-turned-vampire lover in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight book series. In the meantime, however, she's done an amazing job showing that she's more than the devoted girlfriend of a handsome bloodsucker, playing in acclaimed films like "The Runaways," "Into the Wild" and "Adventureland" as she proves that her recognition and success is well-deserved.
