John Allen Cassady was in England visiting his mother, Carolyn Cassady, when he got the call from Walter Salles, Director of "On The Road". Walter wanted to know if John would be willing to interrupt his visit with Carolyn so he could meet and give a talk to the cast and crew of the movie while they were filming in Montreal. Walter promised a round trip flight from London to Montreal and that John would be back at his mum's place in a few days. John only wanted to know one thing: "Will I get to meet Kristen Stewart?" He was assured he'd meet everyone so John boarded that silver bird.



They picked John up in a limo and delivered him to a five star hotel in Montreal. To his chagrin, Kristen wasn't waiting there for him. They brought him to a party where he met everyone. He spoke to people he recognized and people he didn't. John took photos with disposable cameras because he'd left his digital back in London. He took pictures of everyone and everything. The next day he's having lunch with the producers and asks, "So when do I get to meet Kristen Stewart?" "John," they said, "You met her last night. You flirted shamelessly for hours. You got photos of the two of you together." John didn't know what she looked like! "And I wasn't even drinking," he said.



Back in London John got all his pictures developed. One of them was lost by the photo company. It was the one with all the photos of John and Kristen Stewart. "Story of my life," John said.

New info from guy @ OTR set: "Just had a friend from church come into **'s. They are paying him to use his antique car in some of the scenes. The movie is "On The Road." Apparently, RPattinson is not in the movie but is on the set...I assume because Kristen Stewart is in the movie?? Maybe he's just getting a burger at ***'s!!!"

Kristen’s Movie On The Road to Film in Mexico and Argentina

In an interview with Radio Canada, actress Marie Ginette Guay talked about On The Road, Kristen’s new project, which she just started filming on Monday in Montreal. Among the many things this interview revealed, we got confirmation was more that some of the locations for the movie are Mexico, Montreal and now Argentina.

The movie still doesn’t have a release date, since it’s too early to tell, but we also found out that filming ends in December.
You can listen to the full interview at the link (in French). Marie Ginette says Kristen is a very smart girl that knows how to pick her roles, and that she’ll work with her in a couple of scenes.

OTTAWA — This is what we know for sure: On Tuesday in Gatineau, a crew is set to begin filming scenes for the $28 million movie On the Road, based on Jack Kerouac’s perennially best-selling 1957 novel.

We also can confirm the female lead is Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan in the phenomenally successful Twilight series.

But whether the hot young star will be in Gatineau is a closely guarded secret. The official spokesman for the film is based in France and he wasn’t answering his phone Monday.

Roch Brunette is the general manager of the Ottawa Gatineau Film and Television Development Corp., which was instrumental in bringing the production here.

He says he showed crew members “many locations” and they settled on a few streets and an old home in the Hull sector of Gatineau.

You would think Brunette would know what stars are coming, but he says even those in charge of the Gatineau shoot say they don’t know.

“They’re only organizing the shoot. They don’t know who’s in town,” he said, and then paused before continuing, “or they’re not saying.”


It’s certainly not uncommon to do location shoots with none of the actors on set, but if any of them do appear, it will be a star-studded occasion. The two male leads — Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley — are relative unknowns, but since this is a movie about a road trip, there is a long list of characters.


Among those cast are Kirsten Dunst (Spider Man), Amy Adams (Julie and Julia), Viggo Mortenson (A History of Violence, Lord of the Rings) Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) and character actor Steve Buscemi.


Despite the mystery over who will be here, Brunette said the production, at $28 million, is the “biggest ever in Ottawa-Gatineau.”


Not all the money will be spent here. The total length of the shoot is 65 days. Some filming has been done in Montreal and there will be more in the U.S. and Mexico.



Eddy, Wright, De Lorimier streets will be closed over the four days of shooting. There will also be parking restrictions around those streets.



As is common when movies are shot in the capital, Gatineau will not appear as itself. An old house has been selected for a scene set in Denver, Colorado in 1947. Vintage cars are being brought in for the shoot, said Brunette.

One of the executive producers is Francis Ford Coppola, who bought the rights to the book many years ago. The director is Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries). On the Road is a France, Brazil, Canada co-production.

Largely autobiographical, On the Road is considered the seminal novel of the Beat Generation. It still sells some 100,000 copies a year.

It was totally crazy. Everyone were kind. Kristen, Garrett and Sam are simply incredible. I danced with Dany for a scene. The movie is going to be excellent. I'm not sure about what I can tell you about the movie before it's release. (because of the contract we signed) but, I can tell you that everyone danced and sweat like crazy. And yes, Robert was there too

With Kristen Stewart in Canada busy filming her new movie On The Road we thought it was only a matter of time until Robert Pattinson was spotted visting his rumoured beau on set.


And lo and behold, it has been reported that Rob arrived in Montreal yesterday and headed to the set.
However, before we get too excited we need to consider the fact that Rob's best mate, Tom Sturridge (phwoar) has also been cast in the movie...
It is possible Rob was just visiting his friend but we'd like to think Tom was just a cheeky bonus on his trip to see his girlfriend, KStew!
A representative for Tom confirmed to GossipCop that he was starring in the movie, saying: "He is filming in Canada at the moment for On The Road".
Kristen and Tom have been spotted hanging out on the set and at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles last month.

Earlier this week, photos emerged of Kristen Stewart hanging out with Robert Pattinson’s close pal Tom Sturridge in Montreal, where she’s filming On The Road. The shots sparked speculation that Sturridge might also be in the Jack Kerouac adaptation.
Gossip Cop can confirm exclusively that Sturridge has indeed been cast in the movie.
“He is filming in Canada at the moment for On The Road,” a rep for the actor tells us.

As Gossip Cop reported back in May, Stewart will star in the film alongside Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley.

We were only 3 girls and we got the chance to shake her hand and i passed my right hand in her hair and said
